All of our Home Grown, All-Natural, Grass-Fed Beef is USDA certified. Each steer is hand selected for each harvest period and carefully cut and wrapped in convenient sized, ready to eat, vacuum-sealed packs.
First, we carefully select which steers are ready for harvest. Then we transport them to certified USDA professionals for slaughtering and packaging. We age the beef for about two weeks to insure maximum tenderness and flavor (A process long since abandoned by industrial, feedlot operations).
We instruct our butcher to cut and package each selection in particular sizes and arrangements to meet our client’s needs. Each individual cut is then vacuum-sealed to insure the highest standards of tenderness, flavor, and nutrition.OPTIONS AND PRICING –

For optimum tenderness and nutrition, we harvest steers between May through October. We keep it available for our clients all year around and can deliver products upon a days notice. However, our clients usually receive more options and variety of cuts when placing orders in advance. It is also more economical and easier to set up deliveries with advanced reservations/orders.
Summer deliveries are convenient and free when arrangements are made in advance, and scheduled at a group pick-up location, like the Growers Market, Grass Valley location. We desire the highest possible convenience for our clients, so we are happy to make deliveries right to their homes, but charge $35 for that service in order to cover delivery expenses.
